The Dance Primer

I can’t help myself. I have to promote a national event happening right here in my lovely home of Portland:

The event is actually our Lindy Exchange, which happens every other year. Most non-swing dancers have no idea what an exchange is, though, so it has a second name of Swing Fest.

If YOU don’t know what an exchange is, it’s a huge dance party. People come from all over to share the love of dance. No workshops. No lessons. No competitions. No judgements. Just sharing the love of dance through live music, great DJs, great venues (you NEED to experience the Crystal Ballroom’s sprung floor), and great people.

One of the most incredible ways to improve your social dancing is by traveling, and what better excuse than a huge dance party? Registration is open, and for only $70 you get a full weekend pass to 11 live bands, lots of great DJs, tons of new friends, and you get to experience my favorite city, Portland, Oregon! If you’re coming, please let me know… I’d love to meet you.
